Alberto Cremonesi graduated in 1977 from the University of Bologna in Italy. He continued his post-graduate training in Bologna University where he obtained fellowship in cardiology in 1980 and bio-engineering in 1986. Since 1991 Alberto Cremonesi has been the Director of the Interventional Cardiovascular Unit of Maria Cecilia Hospital – GVM Care & Research, Cotignola (Italy). Since 2011 he has been appointed Chief of the Cardio-vascular Department in the same Hospital. In the last 25 years his interventional and research interest has been mainly oriented to the multilevel disease endovascular approach, in the aim to build strong interventional cardiology teams with equal experience in coronary, structural and peripheral interventions. Alberto Cremonesi was President of the Italian Society of Interventional Cardiology from 2011 to 2013. He is member of PCR main Board (Course Director of EuroPCR and of PCR Peripheral).

Experienced cardiovascular interventionalist with competence in coronary, peripheral and structural heart disease interventions. In the last 13 years his research interest has been mainly focused into the "Panvascular Disease Approach" and in 2016 he has been recipient of the prestigious "Young Vascular Career Advancement Award" from VIVA and LINC associations (Las Vegas, 2016). Antonio Micari is member of the main PCR Board (Responsible for Stroke Track) and has been elected as member of the Nucleus of Working Group for Aorta and Peripheral Disease of the European Society of Cardiology. To date is Co-Director of Invasive Cardionagiology of Humanities Gavazzeni Hospital in Bergamo.

Fausto Castriota graduated in 1988 from the University of Milano in Italy. He continued his post-graduate training in Bologna University where he obtained residency in cardiology in 1992 and radiology in 1996. From 1995 to 1996 he was a Fellow of the Arizona Heart Insitute under the supervision of Prof. Diethrich. From 1997 to 2009 Fausto Castriota was Co-Director of the Interventional Cardiovascular Unit of Maria Cecilia Hospital (GVM Care & Research, Cotignola, Italy). In 2009 he was appointed as Director of the Cardiovascular Department of Città di Lecce Hospital (GVM Group, Lecce). In 2013 he was nominated Chairman of all Interventional Cardiovascular Units of GVM group. He kept this role until january 2018, when he was appointed as Director of the Interventional Cardiovascular Unit of Maria Cecilia Hospital. In the last 20 years his interventional and research interest has been mainly oriented to the multilevel disease endovascular approach, with a strong interest in training and teaching high-level skills in carotid, aortic and peripheral procedures. During the last years he gained a worldwide recognised experience in structural interventions and he became Proctor for TAVI and Mitraclip procedures. He is member of PCR main board and PCR London Valve organising committee.

Graduated in 2008 (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome). During his studies, he spent one year abroad at University of Salamanca (Spain). He continued his post-graduate training in Rome Catholic University where he obtained residency in Cardiology in 2015. From 2014 to 2015 he was a clinical and research Interventional Fellow in one of the busiest London Hospitals (King’s College Hospital) under the supervision of Professor Phil MacCarthy. From 2015 to 2018 he worked as part of the interventional team of Maria Cecilia Hospital (Cotignola, RA), where he gained a wide experience in complex coronary cases, peripheral interventions (including carotid stenting, aorto-iliac, femoro-popliteal and BTK interventions). In addition, he gained experience in structural interventions (PFO closure, TAVI, left atrial appendage closure) and was in charge of all the structural research program. Dr. Roberto Nerla research interests comprised all aspects of coronary artery disease from endotelial dysfunction to microvascular disease and coronary plaque characterization through advanced imaging (OCT). His main research focus now involves the percutaneous treatment of aortic valve disease and its most complex scenarios (valve-in-valve interventions, bicuspid anatomies, TAVI optimization). He is member of Eurointervention Editorial Board.
